Kajima in Singapore

At Kajima, we place a strong emphasis on meeting our customers’ needs. These needs are met through two of the arms - Quality and Safety – in our Project Management Policy.

Quality Policy

In this policy, it displays Kajima’s long time commitment in striving for international best practise, particularly in the area of Quality Assurance and Quality Control. The attainment of the ISO 9000 Quality Management System Certification and the Deming Prize has gone to show the assurance of quality we can offer to our clients.

Kajima’s Quality Assurance and Control (QA/QC) methods have been designed based on the ISO 9000 Quality Management System principles. These methods ensure consistency of QA and QC during the construction process. In addition they are also carried out with the Deming spirit of self-renewal and self-improvement amongst the management and construction personnel.

The objectives of the QA/QC methods are as follows:

  • CLIENT SATISFACTION
  • ON-TIME DELIVERY
  • ZERO DEFECTS
  • ZERO ACCIDENTS

A set of comprehensive manuals has been developed for all site management and supervisory personnel, ensuring that the above objectives are met.

  • Quality Manual (QM)
  • Quality Procedure (QP)
  • Project Quality Plan (PQP)
  • Standard Work Methods (SWM)
  • Standard Checklists, Forms, Records & Reports

Safety Policy

The importance of safety is of the utmost highest during the construction process. Thus Kajima take the safety of the workers, as well as the public’s, with great consideration.

The Safety Policy was drawn out in the light of providing and maintaining the already safe and healthy site environment, where Construction labourers can carry out their work efficiently and safely.

The implementation of the Safety Management System (SMS) by Kajima was carried out to ensure the above. Together with this, Kajima also comply with all Government Acts, legislative regulations and other statutory requirements in the effort to prevent accidents in all our sites.

All management staff, sub-contractors and workers strives to achieve the following:

  • Total commitment to maintain a safe and healthy work environment on site

  • Compliance with all relevant Government Acts and its legislative regulations and other statutory requirements, rules & regulations, standard and procedures as laid down by the relevant Government Bodies and Statutory Boards
