Design/Build Services has long been the common and preferred delivery method in Japan. Kajima's Design/Build program offers clients a single point of responsbility for quality, cost and schedule adherence. Kajima Overseas Asia has upheld this practice since its incorporation in Singapore, making it a forerunner in the Design/Build scene. The award of the first public Design/Build project, HDB Tampines New Town, was a testament to our active participation in the Design/Build arena. Further to that we have gone on to secure other Design/Build projects e.g. HDB Jurong West (N6C5) and the URA Centre, allowing us to be more proficient in this method of project delivery.

Design/Build, with its flexibility, cost and time saving advantages, is gradually gaining wider acceptance in the Singapore Market, it is expected to be one of main stream methods of project delivery in the industry with the Government's encouragement in the C21 report.

By combining the design and construction elements into one team, open communication between all functions enables the team members to recognize and suggest opportunities to improve plans, enhance techniques and tighten timeframes, as well as preventing incidents of remedial works in later stages, would assure our clients of value-added end products.

 In Singapore we regularly perform this service through the combined team effort of Kajima Overseas Asia and Kajima Design Asia and/or with other design consultants.
